Compensations for Farmers Affected by Foot-and-Mouth Disease

The Cabinet announced compensations of up to €50,000 for farmers affected by foot-and-mouth disease. This intervention aims to provide immediate and targeted support to the primary sector. Additionally, a special committee will determine individualized compensation packages. The state of Cypriot livestock farming is on high alert as the virus has spread to 23 units. Strict measures have been established to prevent the spread of the virus, imposing new obligations on farmers.
