Improvement in Dam Conditions with Increased Water Inflow
March 16, 2026
Water inflow to the dams shows improvement compared to last year, with the Water Development Department expecting even more rain by the end of March. Mario Chatzikostis noted significant increases in water inflow over the past few days. There is optimism that last year's low storage levels will be surpassed. The current dam capacity stands at 21.8%, a slight decrease from last year. The upcoming rain is expected to enhance water supply for both drinking and irrigation.
