Private School's Refusal for Special Education and Its Consequences

A private school in Limassol refused to provide special education to a child, leading the family to transfer him to a public school. The Commissioner of Administration, Maria Stylianou-Lottidi, analyzed the case and issued a report. She emphasized that the school failed to comply with regulations that required the acceptance of a companion, to be funded by the family. She called on the Ministry of Education to explore legal regulations on the matter. Support for inclusive education should apply to both public and private schools.
