High Social Media Usage Among Young People in Cyprus

Social media is very popular among young Europeans, with Cyprus having the highest usage rate in the EU. In 2025, 89.3% of individuals aged 16-29 in the EU reported using social networks, compared to 67.3% of the general population. More than 90% of young people use social media in 19 out of 27 EU countries. The highest rates were recorded in Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Finland. Cyprus shows a small gap in usage between young people and the general population.
