Expected Increase in Candidates for the Upcoming Elections

The Chief Electoral Officer anticipates a record number of candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections, exceeding 650 compared to 2021. Around 30 parties are registered, with a goal for more female candidates. Approximately 1,195 polling stations and 6,860 staff will be involved, ensuring a transparent process. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of votes and protecting personal data during the process. Candidate submissions will be made on May 6.
