Modernization of Outdated Laws in Cyprus

The Commissioner of Legislation, Sophia Kleopa Hadjikyriacou, highlighted the need to modernize outdated laws in Cyprus. Some of these laws concern the employment of women in mines and regulations on capital punishment. The Commission plans a study to review or abolish these laws. Additionally, she announced the upcoming creation of the e-Legislation platform for digital legislation. The goal is to ensure necessary updates and modernization of the legal framework.
