Rescue of Elderly Man from Pit in Avgoru

An elderly man fell into a dry pit 8 meters deep in Avgoru, prompting a rescue operation from the Fire Service. The pit measured 2x1 meters and the cover collapsed. A tripod rescue device was used to lift the man out. Fortunately, he was conscious and was transported to the Famagusta Hospital by ambulance. His condition is being monitored.
