Serious Irregularities in Under-Construction Building Permits

Field inspections by the Nicosia EOΑ revealed serious irregularities in 54% of under-construction buildings. Building permits are issued almost automatically, leading many structures to violate regulations. There are cases with significant discrepancies, such as exceeding development coefficients and functional issues. If these buildings are completed, they could lead to disputes between neighbors. Authorities have begun revoking permits in severe cases of illegality.
