Financial challenges for Paphos waste management due to court decisions

The Council for the Management of Waste Disposal Sites in Paphos is facing financial troubles due to two court decisions in favor of Helector related to compensation amounts. The Deputy Chairman, Michalis Nikandrou, confirmed that the compensations total hundreds of thousands of euros. The Paphos Municipality's debt of €400,000 is linked to these compensations. Nikandrou assured that an investigation is underway to clarify the situation. The new administration is working with legal advisors to resolve the issue.
