Opening of the Astromeritis-Evrychou Highway

The Astromeritis-Evrychou highway is officially opened to traffic today. The road spans 11.3 kilometers and was constructed by the Cybarco–Pharmakas J.V. consortium. The project aims to enhance road safety and reduce travel time to the mountainous areas of Cyprus. Drivers are urged to adhere to the new signage and exercise caution during the initial days of operation. The total cost of the project was around €74.477 million.
