Opening of the Astromeritis-Evrichou Highway for Improved Access to the Capital

Today, the Astromeritis–Evrichou highway is officially opened to the public, costing €88.6 million and significantly improving access for mountainous areas to the capital. The road, which is 11.3 kilometers long, features innovations, including the use of recycled materials. Its construction will enhance access to services and hospitals for local residents. Additionally, it is expected to boost the local economy and attract visitors. The public works department has committed to improvements on certain road points based on residents' suggestions.
