Construction of Larnaca Municipal Building Begins

The construction of the Larnaca Municipal Building is finally underway, three years after delays. The project will take place at the site of the old hospital and is expected to be completed before 2030, when Larnaca will be the Cultural Capital of Europe. The project's cost has exceeded 9 million euros, raising concerns within the Municipal Council. The works will include the restoration of listed buildings and the creation of a new public space. All municipal services will move to the new building once the works are completed.
