Changes in Property Buyer Information Process

A recent court ruling ends the obligation for property buyers to be informed about any encumbrances when submitting a sale document. The Attorney General clarified that the Land Registry is not legally required to provide this information. However, starting from December 12, 2023, sellers must attach a recent property research certificate to the contract. This regulation aims to enhance buyer protection. Sellers who fail to comply will face administrative fines.
