New Legislation for Borrower Protection Against Foreclosures

President Nicos Christodoulides has signed three out of five laws related to foreclosures and insolvency. These laws provide additional tools for borrowers to protect their primary residences, including the right to challenge a foreclosure notice. Additionally, the President has referred two other legislations to the Supreme Court for review. The parties involved accepted the referrals after making necessary legislative modifications. Overall, the new laws aim to enhance the rights of borrowers.
