Prices of local fruits and vegetables have risen significantly from the field to supermarket shelves. Cherries are the most expensive product, with retail prices nearing €13 per kilo. Strawberries also show significant price discrepancies, reaching €9.20 in retail while the producer price is only €4.87. Imported products generally have steadier prices, but some items like blueberries are very expensive. These increases burden family budgets.
