Retrial of cocaine case with key witness 'Maronas'

The case involving 15 kilograms of cocaine against George Christodoulou-Zavrantonas is being retried due to the overturning of his previous conviction. The President of the Nicosia Criminal Court announced that hearings will take place in the afternoon for a faster process. A key element in this case is the testimony of Yiannis Andreou, also known as 'Maronas', who accused Zavrantonas of being the mastermind. This case began in 2019 after the drug quantity was seized.
