Lawyers in Parliament: Presence and Challenges

Lawyers continue to have a strong presence in the Parliament, with 17 out of 56 members related to the legal profession. This represents about 30.36% of the Parliament, an increase from 2021. Lawyers have an advantage in parliamentary processes as they better understand legislation. However, despite this presence, the Parliament has often made mistakes and faced constitutional issues. The need for correct procedures remains crucial, regardless of the members' legal qualifications.
