First Meeting for the Election of the House Speaker

The processes for electing the new Speaker of the House have begun. DISY leader Annita Dimitriou and DIKO leader Nikolaos Papadopoulos held their first meeting in a positive atmosphere. Although details of the meeting are not yet known, both sides agreed to stay in touch for future discussions. Papadopoulos stated that cooperation is necessary for the election of the Speaker. He also mentioned that the relationship between the Speaker election and the presidential elections is not direct.
