Proposals for Environmental Protection in Peyia

The ongoing Strategic Environmental Impact Study for the Local Plan of Peyia examines the balance between development and the protection of unique ecosystems. It proposes strict protective measures to address the impacts of the expansion of tourist and residential zones. New Protection Zones are introduced, and Sensitive Environmental Areas are designated with specific development restrictions.
