Call for Strengthening the Lifeguard Service in Limassol

The lifeguard service in Limassol is facing serious staffing shortages and cannot be considered fully staffed. Many lifeguard towers remain closed, with lifeguards warning bathers about the dangers of the sea. There is a pressing need to increase permanent job positions and the duration of contracts to attract new people to the profession. Currently, there are 45 employees, and interest in hiring is on the rise. New exams for potential lifeguards are scheduled for June 15.
