Increase in New Farmers Registrations and Simplification of Processes

The implementation of the new law for the creation of a Farmers and Agricultural Enterprises Registry has led to a significant increase in new farmers in Cyprus. The number of registered farmers grew from 2,400 in 2023 to around 7,700. The law simplifies registration processes and facilitates the participation of youth in agricultural activities. Notably, it allows legal entities to register as new farmers. These changes are expected to strengthen the agricultural sector and expand youth involvement.
