Chevron's Strategic Plans for Natural Gas Production in Cyprus

Chevron plans to produce 800 million cubic feet of natural gas per day from the 'Aphrodite' field in Cyprus's EEZ. The company's Director for Cyprus, Basil Allam, stated that the project has entered the feasibility and design phase. The gas produced will be exported to Egypt, where demand is increasing. Furthermore, Cyprus provides a favorable business environment for investments. Chevron has a total of 44 trillion cubic feet of natural gas resources in the region.
