Identification of 513 Debtors with Tax Liabilities

Over 500 debtors who had hidden from the Tax Department for years have been identified by authorities with debts exceeding €44 million. The debts mainly concern income taxes and VAT, with an average debt of about €86,000. Recently, tax authorities have intensified checks and imposed additional taxes on thousands of individuals and legal entities. At the same time, awareness and compliance campaigns have been conducted. The aim is to increase tax compliance and collect outstanding debts.
