Support Measures for Farmers to Reduce Production Costs

The Ministry of Agriculture is implementing measures to reduce production costs for farmers, focusing on the adoption of Renewable Energy Sources (RES). Funding tools have been activated to support the green transition and assist producers. Subsidies for the installation of RES and energy storage have increased to 80%. Additionally, a scheme for subsidizing agricultural electricity has been introduced to alleviate high energy prices. Support for livestock farming and the promotion of POF halloumi are also key issues.
