Increase in Drug Seizures in Cyprus in 2026

The Drug Enforcement Agency presented its findings for the first half of 2026, showing a significant rise in drug seizures. Notably, cocaine seizures increased from 30.2 kg in 2025 to 71.5 kg in 2026, while methamphetamine seizures rose from 461 grams to over 2.3 kg. There was also a remarkable increase in hashish resin seizures, surpassing 47.5 kg. Additionally, new drugs were seized for the first time in Cyprus, raising concerns. Despite these increases, the number of ongoing investigations remains high.
