Calculation of the new €3 duty for small parcels from non-EU countries

The Customs Department has announced a new temporary €3 duty on small parcels from non-EU countries for shipments valued under €150. The duty is calculated based on the category of each product in a shipment. Consumers can pay the duty either at checkout or before delivery. A refund of the duty is only possible after Customs approval for defective items. Buyers are advised to check the terms of service and return policies of sellers.
