Growth of Organic Farming in Cyprus: Strategy and Achievements

Organic farming in Cyprus has significantly developed, covering 8.76% of arable land in 2024. The aim is to reach 10% by 2030, focusing on organic production and consumption. There are 1,462 certified organic production units, while livestock farming provides organic dairy products. The National Action Plan, implemented in 2023, includes 16 targeted actions to promote organic farming. These actions emphasize reliability, competitiveness, and environmental protection.
