Postponement of discussion on public recruitment law changes
June 30, 2026
The Parliament has decided to suspend the discussion on changes to public recruitment processes proposed by the Cabinet. The Ministry of Finance is concerned about the delay, as it wants to modernize lengthy hiring procedures. There are worries about upcoming government exams, usually held in the fall, which may have to proceed under the old system. It appears that the new recruitment processes will take longer to be approved. Political disputes and disagreements are hindering the swift advancement of these changes.
