Appointment of Criminal Investigators for the 'Mafia State' Case

The Cabinet has appointed a team of criminal investigators to examine the findings of the Independent Authority Against Corruption related to the 'Mafia State' case. The team consists of five experienced legal professionals, led by Vasileios Skouris. They will work for six months, with the possibility of extension, and will be supported by administrative assistance and proper facilities. The Government Spokesperson indicated that the appointment aims to ensure an objective investigation. The inquiry will be conducted with respect for the Constitution and the independence of institutions.
