Decrease in income tax revenues despite overall increase in tax receipts

Tax revenues increased in the first five months of 2026 compared to the previous year. However, the new tax reform led to a decrease in revenues in certain categories, mainly personal income tax. Specifically, the income tax saw a 2% decrease, corresponding to about €10 million. Despite these decreases, total tax revenues increased by 5.9%. The tax reform is a significant step for the country's economy.
