Cyprus Dispatches Aircraft to Assist with Wildfires in France

Cyprus is sending two firefighting aircraft to France to assist in extinguishing severe wildfires. This mission was initiated at the request of France through the RescEU Mechanism. The aircraft are rented by the Republic of Cyprus with the support of the European Union. The RescEU Mechanism is designed to assist member states in cases of major disasters. This action demonstrates solidarity and cooperation among EU countries.
