New Energy Storage System in Pentakomo

The Environmental Authority is considering a proposal for the construction of an innovative energy storage system in Pentakomo, with an estimated cost between €7 and €7.5 million. The project is a collaboration between the Cyprus Institute and Altum Mare Ltd. The pilot unit is expected to operate for 24 months. The Energy Minister highlighted the importance of research in solar energy and alternative storage methods. These new storage technologies offer solutions to meet energy demand during the night.
