Increase in Hybrid Car Registrations in Cyprus in 2026

Motor vehicle registrations in Cyprus increased by 13.2% in the first half of 2026, with hybrid cars reaching 51.7% of new registrations. In contrast, both petrol and diesel vehicles saw a decrease in their share. The total registrations amounted to 29,367 vehicles, with 22,597 of them being saloon cars. There was also a notable increase in registrations of buses and trucks. Electric vehicles experienced a small increase in their market share as well.
