New redevelopment plan for the former refinery area

The former oil refinery area in Larnaca is set to undergo a €533 million redevelopment into a modern multifunctional tourist destination. The project will feature residential, commercial, and recreational uses, along with two hotels and a conference center. Additionally, cultural structures such as a museum highlighting the area's history will be included. Construction will occur in five phases and is expected to take around 15 years. Notably, there is collaboration with the Larnaca Municipality for the allocation of community spaces.
