Government Collects €747 Million from Outstanding Debts

The government collected €747 million from old debts through arrangements for tax liabilities and social insurance contributions. These plans help debtors with discounts on interest depending on the installment options they choose. Specifically, debtors who paid in full enjoyed a significant write-off of additional charges. In total, more than 48,000 debtors participated, reducing total debts by €273.6 million. The government aims to facilitate repayments and improve public finances.
