Parking Issues and Abandoned Building at Mackenzie Beach

At Mackenzie beach, the situation has escalated as some individuals have cut chains to park right next to the wave. The Municipality of Larnaca is attempting to address this misconduct by filing complaints with the police and imposing fines on those who park illegally. The problem is worsened by an unused building that has led to the exploitation of the area. If the owner does not manage the building, demolition will proceed. The area already has ample parking spaces, yet illegal parking persists.
