Solutions for Digital Television Transition in Cyprus
July 16, 2026
The Deputy Minister of Innovation, Nicodemus Damianou, announced a solution to the signal issue faced by thousands of televisions in Cyprus due to the transition to the new digital age. The sensitivity of the new signal will be adjusted so that people can watch additional channels. This transition has been in the works for 15 years, and Cyprus is the last country in Europe to make this change. Network adjustments will be made to resolve the issues as soon as possible. However, there is currently no immediate assistance for vulnerable groups.
