Debts of Twelve Football Clubs to the Social Insurance Fund

Twelve football clubs in Cyprus owe a total of €9.5 million to the Social Insurance Fund, as they continue to fail in meeting their obligations. The five clubs with the highest debts account for nearly all of this amount. Only seven out of the 19 clubs are compliant with their responsibilities. Five clubs have been taken to court for their debts, with criminal charges against current and former executives. Legal procedures are now necessary for the collection of outstanding debts.
