Challenges in Electricity Supply During Evening Hours

Electricity demand in Cyprus is expected to be critically low during peak evening hours from 18:00 to 22:00. Simultaneous failures in EAC production units are impacting supply coverage. Despite efforts to bring an additional unit online, this was not possible. The TSO urges the public to conserve energy during these peak hours. High temperatures are expected to persist until Friday.
