Changes in Health Insurance: New Features for Prescriptions and Patient Management
July 23, 2026
Starting today, doctors and dentists can issue prescriptions that will be valid for up to a month later, streamlining the medication process. The Health Insurance Organization announced that existing control mechanisms remain in place, allowing doctors to set expiration dates for prescriptions. The changes also affect the management of bedridden patients and improve the notification system for pre-approvals. Now, specialist doctors can designate patients as bedridden, simplifying the procedure. This measure is expected to enhance the experience for both healthcare professionals and beneficiaries.
