Energy Storage Batteries to Arrive in Cyprus in 2027

In early 2027, energy storage batteries will arrive in Cyprus. Energy Minister Michalis Damianou announced that this development will add 125 megawatts of stored energy. This will allow the utilization of energy from Renewable Energy Sources and prevent production cuts. The minister emphasized that electricity supply will improve and there may be a slight reduction in electricity prices. The current energy situation is manageable according to the Transmission System Operator.
