Upgrade of Forest Fire Prevention System in Cyprus

Cyprus is advancing a significant upgrade of its governmental mechanisms for the prevention and management of forest fires. The new strategy includes investments in advanced technologies, such as 31 automated detection systems and drones. The aim is to achieve faster detection and response to fires, protecting lives and the environment. The plan is funded with 28.5 million euros and is expected to be completed in three years. This upgrade aims to enhance the country's preparedness and effectiveness against natural disasters.
