Arrest of Six Individuals for Kidnapping a 20-Year-Old in Famagusta

Six individuals of Syrian origin were arrested in the Famagusta region for the kidnapping of a 20-year-old. The incident took place on July 29, 2026, when the young man met a group of people who demanded money from him and threatened him. They then placed him in a car and took him to an unknown location. The 20-year-old was released a few hours later. The arrested individuals will be brought to court for the issuance of detention orders.
