Controlled Fires in Paphos Due to Malicious Actions

In Paphos, five forest fire outbreaks occurred on Saturday afternoon on the road from Prodromi to Arodes. The fires were brought under control by firefighting forces just one hour after they broke out. A total of four decares of wild vegetation were burned. The Department of Forests reports that the fires were malicious and are currently under investigation. A total of 25 personnel and several firefighting vehicles participated in the extinguishing efforts.
