Ongoing Wildfire in Western Attica and Boeotia with Evacuations

A major wildfire is still raging in Western Attica and Boeotia, prompting authorities to evacuate several areas. A total of 496 firefighters and 134 vehicles are involved in the firefighting efforts, assisted by firefighters from France and Romania. Aerial operations are limited due to strong winds. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the fire, while the situation in Kefalonia and Skalomata is reportedly improving. Over 100,000 acres have been burned so far.
