Sentences Imposed in Drug Trafficking Case in Limassol

The Limassol Criminal Court imposed the severest sentence of 10 years in prison on one of the defendants in a major drug trafficking case. The defendants admitted to the charges, resulting in sentences that included imprisonment and fines. The operations by the anti-drug unit uncovered 17 kilograms of drugs, mainly cannabis and cocaine, at a hotel and residences. The court acknowledged the honesty of the defendants' admissions, which influenced the sentences. Another hearing for an additional defendant is scheduled for October.
