Revenue of Cyprus from the new tax on small parcels
August 4, 2026
The revenues of the Customs Department of Cyprus from the new tax on small parcels reached almost €2 million in July. The €3 tax was imposed on imports valued up to €150 from third countries. There was a decline in small parcel imports, possibly due to increased orders placed before the tax came into effect and the holiday season. The representative of the Department mentioned that the impact of the tax on consumer behavior will become evident in the coming months. So far, no significant problems or complaints have been reported by citizens.
