Meridiam's Agreement with GSI and Its Importance for Cyprus

The Greek government signed an agreement with Meridiam for its majority stake in GSI, which will develop the electrical interconnection between Greece and Cyprus. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis described the agreement as strategically significant for the region. The involvement of the French investment group enhances the conditions for the project's acceleration. A tripartite agreement was also signed for marine surveys. This agreement contributes to energy stability and ends Cyprus's isolation.
