Discrepancies in Deposit and Loan Interest Rates in Cyprus

Data from the Central Bank of Cyprus reveal significant differences in deposit and loan interest rates among Cypriot banks. Depositors in Cyprus receive low returns compared to the Eurozone average. Household deposit rates range from 0.84% to 1.66%. The situation is similar for corporate deposit rates, with the lowest rates approaching 0.43%. There are also considerable variations in interest rates for business loans, reaching up to 7.17%.
