Limited Information on GSI Agreement

The Cypriot government has limited information regarding the agreement between ADMIE and Meridiam for the Great Sea interconnector. The Energy Minister stated that the government is not a party to the investment, and therefore cannot meet requests for full transparency about the agreement. Details and financial aspects of the agreement remain unclear and have not been officially confirmed. The process for the required seabed surveys is also pending, with estimates for the issuance of navtex not being confirmed. Communication between involved parties has been minimal.
